Always great Chinese food. Very good service; they even have a drive, but not like fast-food. However, your food will be ready within 15 minutes... depending on the line. Inside the ambiance is vintage 80s, love it! Throwback and don't need to change a thing! Try the Crab Rangoons!
The mongolian beef and crab rangoon were really good especially for fast food. I was shocked because it is a old place and only do drive thru anymore. But is obvious why they have been in business so long after eating there.
As a native Hendersonville resident, I can honestly say this is my favorite Chinese and Mandarin food ever. We started coming here 28 YEARS ago. My niece and nephews were little kids and they are now 37 and 40 and they STILL want Fortune House when they come in town from Itah and Arkansas. Lucy and Mr.Ken were the original owners, and now their daughter has taken over. I'm stunned that I'm this day and time, 29 years in the same location is remarkable for any business, let alone a restaurant. Some of our favorites are Mongolian Beef (5 stars!!!), Triple Delight, Mandarin Deluxe, and the soup is always warm and comforting. When one of us is sick- all we want is WonTon soup from Fortune House. All is well in the world after that. Sure, they slip sometimes, but for the quality, the price, and the longevity of this business- you can overlook that. 5 stars HIGHLY!
food is amazing, just dont like the fact that the wontons sit out on a hot line versus being made to order. Staff is very friendly and always has pickup orders ready when you arrive.
